Writing Support

Are you a member of the Ypsilanti community looking for one-to-one writing support? Submit your writing below to one of our trained volunteers, who are passionate writers and here to help you elevate your writing projects. 

We're happy to discuss, provide feedback, help brainstorm through a writer's block, and even help with formatting questions. All forms of writing can be reviewed and discussed — resumes, college essays, cover letters, fiction chapters, poetry, and so much more.

Our offerings are a judgment-free and feedback-rich way to share and improve your work. Remember, writing is a highly collaborative process!

Written Feedback

Written feedback involves a trained volunteer reviewing your submitted work and providing written comments and suggestions via email. Our writing consultants are trained as generalists. This means they are happy to comment on most forms of writing.

Drop-In Writing Support

We offer drop-in writing support–no appointments are necessary! Just check our events calendar and stop by during a drop-in session to chat with one of our volunteers. Sessions typically occur at one of the branches of the Ypsilanti District Library or via Zoom.
