Our volunteers explore their love of writing and connect with other passionate writers while helping to support and advocate for other writers in the Ypsilanti community and beyond. Anyone age 16+ is welcome to join us as a volunteer.
What Are SOME Ways to Get Involved?

Writing Support: YpsiWrites writing support volunteers have a strong passion for working with others to develop and strengthen writing projects. You can specify your preference for more professional (resumes, cover letters, essays, etc) or creative (poetry, novels, passion projects, etc) writing. This position is flexible in hours and requires additional training from YpsiWrites staff.
Teams: Throughout the year, YpsiWrites creates teams to work on various projects that eventually live on our resources page or in the community (writing boxes, how-to-guides, workshop materials, etc). More information on this year's specific opportunities are in the sign-up form.
Partner Initiatives: YpsiWrites partners with various organizations throughout the year to create writing projects for the community. Our Public Art and Writing Tour is an example of a partner project created almost entirely by a volunteer team. More information on specific opportunities are in the sign-up form.
Social Media: Interested in helping YpsiWrites further develop their social media presence and have marketing skills you'd like to contribute? We'd love to connect with you to discover your passions and how you might best contribute to our team!
