What do you write?

“I am a novelist and a genre author. At the moment, I primarily write mysteries (both historical and cozy) and suspense, but I have written science fiction and fantasy, young adult, and romance.”

Why do you write?

“Writing books is all I ever wanted to do since I was about thirteen. I grew up surrounded by books, and books were both my escape and my window to the wider world. As I worked, I grew to love the challenge of the craft, everything from the research to the final polish when the edits come in.”

Why does writing matter to you?

“Writing matters because it allows us to talk to the world, even though we might be at a distance. It is the closest we will get to seeing into the minds, hearts, and histories of our fellow human beings. The smallest, lightest, shortest story can show us something new, something delightful or provoking that will open our own minds and hearts.”
