YpsiWrites' theme this year is "Write for Change." Given this theme, what type of change do you think your writing inspires and what are your reasons for doing this writing?

My type of writing inspires remembrance and reverence for those who came before us as well as creating a blueprint for the upcoming generation to follow in order to preserve their legacies. Change can only happen when we recognize and honor the past. I hope to inspire the change in ourselves to never forget the impact that our righteous words have.

What do you like about writing — or why do you yourself like to write?

Writing is liberating and makes me feel powerful and creative.
