YpsiWrites' theme this year is "Write for Change." Given this theme, what type of change do you think your writing inspires and what are your reasons for doing this writing?
Hmm. That's a toughie because you might think you're writing about A but one reader takes B from it and another takes C. And so on. My reasons for writing are twofold: 1. I think the world is a hard place—and I want to offer as much joy and beauty and hope, within reason, as possible. 2. I can't not write.
What do you like about writing — or why do you yourself like to write?
Aforementioned curiosity. I learn about myself, my ancestors, the world, nature. I can't not write.
