What are you writing?
I write picture books for children and I write in my journal. I don’t have a real favorite, but each one serves a particular purpose. I feel great satisfaction when a book or short story is completed.

Why are you writing Write Now?
I write for children because I know the power of language and the profound effect books can have. I create books to instill a love of language and enrich lives. Books should promote resilience and fortitude, but also evoke wonder and joy. I want readers to recognize their unique gifts and realize their own value and power. However, I always begin with the urge to tell a good, compelling story.

I am also writing in my journal to help me navigate these days. Journal entries allow me to express joy, examine fears, and explore solutions. Reflecting on what I’m grateful for positions me for the day.
