What do you write?

Poetry, blogs, speeches, social media posts, journal entries.

Why do you write?

“I write to hold space for the emotions I find uncomfortable to experience. I write to process the whirlwind of thoughts in my mind. I write to heal. I write to spread light in dark places. I write to make known what is unknown to so many due to the privilege and oppression in our society. I write to heal myself and in turn others."

Why does writing matter to you?

“Writing is a form of expression. It is a form of creativity that connects us to one another. Writing unites us in the midst of heartbreak, love, peace, war, fear, and faith.”
