What do you believe is important about writing?

I believe what is important about writing is its power. Some of the most long-remembered names are those of the greatest minds to ever live. Writing lives on beyond the hands of those who write. Writing has the power to change minds, change lives, and change the world. Writing makes us feel.

What do you like about writing — or why do you yourself like to write?

I have always loved the art of subtlety in writing, which can allow me to metaphorically take a punch at a feeling I'm dealing with. At its core, writing is about feeling for me. I think in words, I see in words, I breathe in words—I feel in words.
